Headlines are made whenever a new game comes saddled with a huge file size, so it's nice to report on a title that's keeping things comparatively slim. Atlas Fallen may not be an all-encompassing AAA release, but its file size is still pleasingly light on PS5. The action RPG will reportedly weigh in at a slender 21GB on Sony's current-gen console (as per the ever-reliable PlayStation Game Size, via Insider Gaming).
If you've been sticking with your PS5's standard SSD, then that number's probably a sight for sore eyes. Indeed, we've grown somewhat accustomed to titles racking up hefty file sizes. Just recently, blockbusters like Final Fantasy 16 and Diablo 4 have hit the 90GB mark — and you won't be fitting many of them on a 800GB drive!
Are you happy to hear that Atlas Fallen is a comparative lightweight? Don't feel the need to free up too much space in the comments section below.

is it a demo or a 2h campaign?
I'll no be playing it so it'll be a pleasingly light 0gb 😀
Good, this mean it won't be too long and won't overstay its welcome.
Based on what I've seen, it looks like fun, kinetic gameplay, but if all is in the desert, a 100 hour campaign would have been tedious.
Of course, there's still the possibility of it being not only too long, but with always the same assets used along the campaign... Let's hope not.
After a bit of research (should have done this before my previous comment), the game should take 15-20 hours for campaign, +10h for completion.
Seems fair.

Size doesn't matter? Or does it?
Good to know. I already have some games installed in my SSD and now storage space is something I'm always considering when thinking about new games.
@miguelseara file size has nothing to do with the length of the campaign. It is mostly a measure of overall texture size.
I find it strange how this is made by the same people who made Lords of the Fallen (2014), which also has a sequel releasing this year (different dev).
Well, i never knew how the standard ssd will not be enougn. Old games if you remove you will always have room. I have 10 games installed with such as diablo, TMNT, hogwarts, hot wheels, and 7 - 8 more and still have 250 gb free.
@Damage99 Well, not exactly. I mean, pre-rendered cutscenes, diversity and complexity of set-pieces and environment, all of these will bring the GB count up.
So yes, it's not a direct link, but still, if a story based single player game is 100GB, you know it will have a longer campaign than a 20GB one.
Unless it is very poorly optimised...
Only games i leave installed are fighting games, which take alot of space these days. Those are a pain to reinstall. Usually when i have people over, they want to play Tekken or MK.
It doesn't mean it's a small game but they took advantage of ps5's great architecture which uses less storage. The Xbox series x version is 40gb
@Olmaz in PC and Xbox series x it's 40gb. It's 20gb because of ps5's architecture
